Topic: The Gospel of Power

Word For Thought: Every messenger of God, carries Power
Jesus said
He gives us Power; that is to say we shall receive Power when the Holy Spirit
comes upon us, then we shall be witnesses of Him, Jesus, in Jerusalem, in Judea, and in Samaria and
through the ends of this world. So every believer here, is sent, but we have
been sent to proclaim the Gospel of Power, because we have received Power, what
we have received, we freely give, and that is Power.
Jesus could
have sent us with words, I believe that was ok. Also He could have sent us with
money, because riches and honor belong to Him, also He could have magically made
things easier for us, by we showcasing magic tricks, but Jesus sent us with
Power. A very authoritative auction. Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 1:5
that “For our gospel did not come to you
in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance,
as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake”.
This tells
us that, we have received a powerful gospel, and we are spreading a
powerful gospel. This gospel is an account describing the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of
Nazareth. The life of Jesus was life of Power, He was anointed, God was with
Him, and He went about doing wonders, many miracles happened, the deaf heard, the blind saw, the lame walked,
the death came back to life all, when He was among men.
The death of
Jesus was a death of power. As dead
yet was alive to snatch from Satan the keys to life and death. His Blood alone
caused a greater earthquake that the earth responded with fear. Jesus’s resurrection
alone was also powerful. The stone was moved, the angel spoke, He is
risen. Beloved, we have a great message, the message of power. I
pray that, the same grace of divine authority shall come upon your life in Jesus name.
All the disciples
were men of power. Peter had power, our
dear Apostle Paul was a man of power. Until we submit to the divine grace of
the Gospel, we shall not benefit thereof. Our life depends on the Gospel, day
by day.
Note this:
God loves us that He demonstrated his Love by giving us Jesus. He is the Gospel. If you are not born again, you are refusing the Gospel and so refusing the life of power. Your life is limited with no divine inheritance, no direction, and failure is not an option. Moreover, you are a candidate of hell fire. My dear, if you want to be born again by giving your life to Christ, or to renew your faith, pray this prayer
“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”'
Prayers for Today
- Father, I praise and worship you, you are the Lord our fortress.
- Father, I pray, I operate in the divine power of the Gospel in Jesus name.
- Father, I pray, I command every seed of doubt to die in Jesus name
- Father, I pray,as Jesus never failed on the cross, so I shall not fail in Jesus name..
- Father, I pray, release me of any satanic power of oppression in Jesus name.
The gospel of power unpacked by the man of God brought an illustration to mind; for example the chief Justice swears the president into position of authority to run the whole country according to laid down principles. The same way, once we accept Jesus as our personal Lord and savior. God allows Jesus the spiritual Chief Justice, to swear the individual into God's kingdom and restoration of Power to operate by going out to share the love of God's power of forgiveness to the world. The enemy knows this is real and prevents this world from this powerful insight. However, we are obligated by power from on high to go and exhibit the truth power of God.
