Bitterness is known in the Bible as spiritual poison and a means by which many are defiled and fall short to the grace of God as in Hebrews 12:15. Bitterness is the cause of many cancers in this life. It affects both the soul and the spirit of man and it damages the physical body. It is the single bullet that can shoot hundreds and can destroy an entire generation. Haman was bitter, that was why he wanted to wipe out the entire Jews.

My dear, bitterness is the source of countless spiritual and physical problems in millions of lives today. The Bible tells us that many are defiled by the means of bitterness. Bitterness can be tricky to recognize because it's not a symptom or visible on the surface like anger usually is. Many claim that they aren't an angry or hateful person, but that's not what bitterness is all about. Bitterness is an underlying problem that doesn't always manifest on the outside, but dwells in that person's system.

Bitterness can be kept to oneself and no one will know. This makes it a silent killer and a poison that kills slowly. Bitterness is the cause of many broken homes and broken marriages. It started many wars we are facing right now globally. Bitterness can be the cause why the church is not growing and it is the root cause of unforgiveness. Without any seed of bitterness, it is easy to forgive. People hold grudges because of bitterness.

Today, refuse to be bitter. You don’t have a place in heaven if you allow bitterness to reign in your heart. Many have vowed not to talk to a friend who offended them long ago in high school, that former church, a group or even in a past relationship all because of bitterness. Repent and live long.

According to our main text for today, our minds are drawn to the fact that, those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, they are limited to the dictates and what the common world can bring. They operate upon earthly principles like, I do you, you do me. Their trust is in men rather than God, but those who live according to the Spirit, they set their minds on the things of the Spirit, for to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Many of us are too carnal and there is no spiritual sensitivity but I pray that God will grant you grace in Jesus name. For there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Beloved, what we see are not real, but what we don’t see. You are a spirit not a body so set your mind as such.

Tune in your mind to operate as a spirit-man not a body-man. Spirit man bears fruit pertaining to the spirit such as love, patience, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. A body-man hold grudges and doesn’t forgive, he fights for everything and anything. If you are not lucky as a pastor and you have body-men as leaders, hmm! You are doomed into disgrace and destruction. Tune in your mind to be in Christ for you are a spirit-man.

The Bible in its simplicity, is a book that contains the Words from God. It is so unique that anybody can use even including satanic agents but revelation in it is kept to only the children of God. Muslims read the Bible but they read only the letters. Witches and wizards, occultists, atheists, and other satanic agents also read. Their master the devil himself coated scriptures when he encountered Jesus in John 4, but it took revelation of the Word to drive him away from the presence of Jesus.

Do you just read the Bible or you encounter the Word when you read the Bible? This may sound confusion but in John 1, in the beginning was the word and this word is Jesus. Jesus saves and came to set us free the bondage of the devil, brought the kingdom to earth for us to operate in total freedom and power. So when you read the Bible, the power behind the letters you see is Jesus. So as a child of God, read the Bible to encounter Jesus so that you will delivered from all forms of oppression of the devil.

Some thirty-eight hundred times the Bible declares, “God said,” or “Thus says the Lord” (e.g. Ex. 14:1; 20:1; Lev. 4:1; Num. 4:1; Deut. 4:2; 32:48; Isa. 1:10, 24; Jer. 1:11; Ezek. 1:3; etc.). Paul also recognized that the things he was writing were the Lord’s commandments (1 Cor. 14:37), and they were acknowledged as such by the believers (1 Thess. 2:13). Peter proclaimed the certainty of the Scriptures and the necessity of heeding the unalterable and certain Word of God (2 Pet. 1:16-21). John too recognized that his teaching was from God; to reject his teaching was to reject God (1 John 4:6).

As a Christian, don’t view the Bible as a moral manual, but Jesus. The Bible speaks with complete freedom and assurance about situations and events outside the realm of human experience. The Bible knows no limits to the infinite knowledge of God who guided its writers. Encounter the Word (Jesus) anytime you read scriptures.

Power is all that we need from God to operate peacefully here on earth. Power is the authority man exercise over all situations and challenges as they emerged. Jesus said behold I give you power, not the type of power known on this earth. No matter how mightier a man is he or she will die someday but God who can change your destiny overnight cannot die. He cannot lie and there is no sin in Him but powerful.

For any Godly assignment you need power. Power is all you need to overturn any satanic decree and curses over your life. Live as a Christian who is alive and very sensitive. Power distinguishes the one who is alive and the one who is dead. Man became a living soul and that was as a result of power. God breathed into man in Genesis 2:7 and man became powerful and acted authoritatively over creation. The same breathe was released in John 20:22 and the disciples received the Holy Ghost. After this, Peter didn’t run anymore, his faith came alive.

Beloved, it takes only the empowerment of the Holy Ghost to overcome all challenges in this Christian life. You cannot operate smoothly without it. So it is my prayer today that God will grant you and I power. Power to resist all forms of fear and opposition in Jesus name. Please pray and you can spread the news about “Enough is Enough 2016”. I see greater works about to happen. Pray to support or you can also share the information around. Come and let us pray.

Breaking Through.

Breakthrough is possible with God. The God who made a virgin to bring forth and a woman without womb to bring forth is alive. In Mark, chapter 6, we read that Jesus sends out the apostles to preach the gospel, cast out demons, and heal people just like he did (Mark 6:7-12). Then, later in the story, Jesus is teaching to a large crowd of over 5,000 people when He asks the disciples to do "the impossible. Are you facing the impossible? The God

By this time, it was late in the day, so his disciples came to him. This is a remote place or desert place, food wasn’t easy to buy or come by, they said, "and it's already very late. Send the people away so that they can go to the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat." But he answered, "You give them something to eat."

Jesus expected his disciples to feed the thousands of people in the crowd even though it was impossible for them. That’s because Jesus knew that it wasn’t impossible for God. Similarly, Jesus expects us to take on the seemingly impossible in our own lives. Why? God expects us to do impossible things in us and through us. How exactly does it happen? By believing for it in faith. Faith is the currency that buys the impossible. The woman with the issue of blood believed and her blood loss ceased, Blind Bartimeus also believed in the Son of David, and the miracle just happen. So if you believe, you shall the Lord’s glory.

No matter what we’re facing, God promises to show up in our difficult situations in a way that declares and reveals His glory and goodness. What we need to know is that breakthrough is not something we sit around and wait for. Breakthrough is God waiting on us to respond in obedience to what He has already commanded and already promised.

I heard a testimony last time that it is still bordering my mind. a couple waited on God for twenty-seven (27yrs) before they had the fruit of the womb, and God gave them double, that is to say, twins. After days to weeks, several months to years, the Lord finally gave them two children, twins. They waited patiently to get the best of life.

Waiting is very challenging more especially when your patience is patience. That is to say, your expectation looks like it can never come to pass, but it can still come to pass because if God says so, then we need no interpreter because He speaks our language and it can be done. As believers, we do not control our lives. We have left all to follow Christ, we are on His time table. Our expectation is from the Lord, moreover, it is sealed by God, until God releases no one can get access to divine privileges. The key to that expectation is waiting on the Lord.

Maybe it is your time to get married but wait on the Lord. Although many potential suitors are in line, but wait on the Lord. Wait on the Lord for the fruit of the womb. Maybe your story is close or above what happened to the family above, but the key word is waiting on the Lord; In His time, He makes all things better and beautiful.

Many are the thoughts of man, but it is only the will of God that shall stand. If God says yes, no man born of flesh and blood can say no. Even Dagon and Nebo which were smaller gods bowed to our God. In waiting on the lord, you must engage in prayer and fasting, until your redeemer, you will not stop.

No Easy Road.

There is nothing free in this world. Food is not free, the air we breathe although is provided free but not cheap if you want the highest quality of air you need pay by living in a less polluted area. Those places are not cheap. Housing is not free, education is not free even when it is provided free you need to eat before you can study and that food is not free. So my precious reader there is nothing free. Salvation is not free because someone paid with His blood, for Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:20 that we were bought with a price; what price? The Blood of His only Son, Jesus.

Nothing is free. Be careful of free things. These days in the body of Christ many want free things. They want free anointing, free titles, free tithes, free CDs, free books, free Church that there will be no offering, free and free they came and must go free with nothing to buy. That is why some of us are failing. They want short cut miracles, pray for me and short cut into prosperity but there is no easy road to become what you want to be in the Lord. I don’t want titles, if I pay for it, no one can take it from me, not even Satan. Pay by locating and doing what the bible says concerning what you want.

When David saw Jeroboam, he saw an industrious man. He appointed him over all the forced labor of the house of Joseph. He was a valiant worker and that was the price he paid to become a leader. Joseph paid his way out to become the second in command in Egypt. David went through pain, rejection and frustration and spent days and night in the wilderness, only God was his shepherd and that was the price he paid to be the king of Israel. Hannah too passed through intimidation and insults in her own house because she couldn’t give birth. She paid her way out by offering Samuel. What have you invested in the Lord? Is it your time, money, properties etc.?

There is no easy road into a glorious destiny, the people of old paid their way, some died and some were crucified for the gospel. Paul said I am ready to be offered, are you ready to be offered or ready to offer the sacrifice to your next level?
