What will profit a man who gains the whole world but loses his or her soul? You know we are men created by God, and we are spirit beings, having a soul living in a body. The real you is your soul. That is the thinking and living being. This being doesn’t die, the body dies but the soul lives on. After death, the body cannot walk, think, and speak anymore, your soul moves into the spiritual realm. That is where judgment is made whether you lived right here on earth or bad.

Sometimes when we talk about this many think it is a lie. Many have had a feel about near death experiences. And they testify about how life still goes on after death. You can have it back or lose it depending on how you lived here on earth. The life of sin will make you die a second death. The wages of sin is death. You must repent today; there is no more time for you because death does not announce itself.

You can be rich here on earth; buy the best of cars, many of them; more houses and all the women to yourself. Living a life of total pleasure but yet none of these can accompany you to the grave. What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul? There is a story about Lazarus and the Richman in Luke 16:19-31. The rich got it all but refused to give his soul to the Lord.

He insured his body but refused to insure his soul so he didn’t get a place in the Lord. He was really in fire and thirsty. He said ‘‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue because I am in agony in this fire.’’ But that was too late. Today is the time and day, don’t wait to make Christ the anointed your own.

No matter the kind of sin, Jesus died for that. You can really be saved. Only confess and take Jesus the one who died as your Lord and personal savior.

Once again beware of unreasonable men. Sanballat and Tobiah were evil and unreasonable men. Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem were three enemies of the Jews who made several attempts to stop Nehemiah from rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. They used various ploys in their attempt to disrupt the Jews’ work. These three men sought to harm Nehemiah as in (Nehemiah 6:2); intimidate him with false reports (verses 5–6); deceive him with false prophets (verses 7–13); and influence the nobles of Judah only to oppose the building of the wall. But in the end they failed. Today, evil shall fail in Jesus name.

Why will they oppose the building of the wall? Sometimes you ask yourself, what have I done to deserve this kind of hatred? What is my case, and what did I do wrong? The answer will be nothing. Unreasonable men have no case against their victims. They are operating on their selfish ambitions; they are of their father the Devil, who deceive people.

Jesus fell into the hands of unreasonable men. Although Jesus came to die for our sins, but He was tortured and finally nailed on the cross shamefully because of the desire of heartless men. They chose to free the robber who has been killing them an also stealing their goods. They chose to eat and dine with their enemy than to rescue their loved ones.

Beloved, the Pharisees were unreasonable men. If you don't stop them, they will. They will stop you, just as in our main reading today. They will oppose you with no reason but envy. Today as you embark on the day; may you be blessed in Jesus Name.

Unreasonable Men.

Unreasonable men are all over. They can be found in any organization, society and scarier in the church of God. Wicked and evil men plan evil each day. Some against their so-called enemies and any innocent person who is in one way or may not be associated with their enemies. They are children of Satan. Their father is the most envious. He hated Job with a passion to the extent that Job cursed his day. He wanted to sift Peter as wheat but Jesus prayed for him.

Beloved, evil men are just regular men who have allowed the spirit of envy to take dominion over them. Haman was a wicked person. He wanted to wipe out all the Jews because Mordecai did not reverence him. Because of just one person he wanted to kill thousands, he placed on the suicide vest to kill other innocent Jews. But that vest blasted him and his family. Today I pray any evil man planning any attack against you shall fall by his own sword in Jesus name.

According to our main scripture, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves under an oath, saying that they would neither eat nor drink until they had killed Paul. Remember, evil men too fast. Demons fast, so don’t think fasting only can take you to heaven, it must accompany prayers, deep meditation and reading of scriptures. It is not about the time but the purpose and the faith attached.

These men were evil. Evil men and women trade in love for hatred. Paul was just pursuing his destiny and purpose but it attracted evil attention. Those who do good always get evil attention. There were more than forty who formed this plot. They came to the chief priests and the elders and said, "We have bound ourselves under a solemn oath to taste nothing until we have killed Paul. Today any evil man against your destiny shall fall in Jesus name.

The Good Friday

The Cross is the place of redemption. Redemption means to "buy back" or "buy out of" in order to set free by the payment of a ransom price. Dr. Luke writes of the "Church of God, which He purchased with His own blood" (Acts 20:28). Paul explains to the Ephesians that "we have redemption through His blood" (Ephesians 1:7).

Without the Cross there is no meaning in this life and man will remain in its shameful state. Man’s glory after we were created was that just as God because God created us in His own image (Genesis 1:26). But sin took His image away from us and we got clothed with shame, sickness, failure, disappointments, troubles, etc.  Man was meant to operate in dominion but sin placed us in a complete curse.

For this cause that Jesus came, to take us back into our original glory. The place of dominion, power and might. Adam took dominion over all the creation of man and that my dear is you and I our place. The basis of our alienation from God was taken away by His taking the death for us in order to reconcile us to God. "Through Him (Christ) God reconciled all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross" (Colossians 1:20).

The death of Christ, symbolized by the concept of shed blood, releases and forgives men from the penalty of sins when received by faith. "We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses" (Ephesians 1:7). He "released us from our sins by His blood" (Revelation 1:5), for "without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness" (Hebrews 9:22). By the vicarious death of Jesus Christ, we have been declared righteous and we have been made righteous. Paul refers to Christians "having been justified by His blood" (Romans 5:9).

So today Good Friday, I want you to be happy because you are celebrating your independence day.
The day of joy not sorrow. Jesus finished them all. I curse any evil manipulations operating against your life today, you are free and so free in indeed.

God created the entire earth, the heavens, the moon and the others stars less than a week. My dear reader, if God could do creation in six days, how much more your needs? Your needs are as little in His eyes. Never believe the world, they have no idea what they are saying. As a Christian you believe in God no matter what men say or do, God has the final say and at the appointed time, He is going to disgrace all your enemies.

Beloved there is an appointed time. If you miss it, you miss an entire generation. An appointed time is a time divinely positioned to deliver you. It took an appointed time to create and finally placed me in my mother’s womb. There is a reason that all men not equal because each and every one of us has an appointed time. Time to live and time to die are inevitable.

It is a bad thing when you miss the appointed time. Jesus said to the city of Jerusalem, “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that kills the prophets, and stones them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, and would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” (Matthew 23: 37 – 39).

The God we serve is very particular about time, He has His own time, Jesus came at the appointed time, died and rose up at the appointed time. One of the worst demons that Satan assigns to people is the one that slows them down so that they never do anything on time. This demon is called the spirit of the tail. It is a powerful demon that we must watch out for. God will never come late into any situation. At the appointed time, God will bless you.

When God created man, He breathed into man and the man became a living spirit living in a body having a soul or a will. So man was clothed by the glory of God. The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it. And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.

God said the day they eat they will die, but when they ate it did they die? Yes they did. Man became a dead spirit living in a body having a soul. This is the nature of any man who lives in disobedience. Disobedience is deadly as well as the wages of sin is death. Man’s nature was replaced with shame. They were spirit beings, they were naked but were not ashamed but when they became fleshly being’s, they became ashamed.

Beloved, sin brought a great curse. Curse of the womb and the land. Sin separated us from God. We didn’t deserve His love and compassion. But in all these, God took away the shame and Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. So when man’s inequity abounded, God set an appointed time for redemption.

The Cross was the final redemptive process of man. Without the Cross there is no redemption. It is the Cross that has crossed out all our sins, our curses and shame. The Cross is the bridge that has reconnected us back to God again. So the final breadth that gave man a new life again is the cross. A carrier of a new life is not ashamed anymore, not under curse anymore, freely freed to serve the Lord.

I believe we have to move from mediocrity into a class of divine greatness. Many of us are very ignorant about who we are in Christ. Because of this lack of knowledge, we fail so many times. The Goliaths in our lives are pursuing and ridiculing us 24/7. Saul was a king greatly anointed, he allowed this uncircumcised Goliath to torment the people of God. Not so until David showed up. He said “who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”

David was circumcised, a man who knew how to stand and declare who he is. Fear has a way to keep you in the shadows. Many who are children of God are still walking and dining with unbelievers. When a sheep dwells among tigers even if they grew together, is only time that will tell, either they kill it or it will run away. I am pleased to tell you that I know who I am. I am a child of God, anointed to spread the gospel of Christ.

If a goat gives birth to a child, it is called a goat, no way will it be called a dog. If a cow gives birth to a child it is called a cow, if a man gives birth to a child it is called a man, in the same way anybody born of God, he or she is a god. The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:23; we, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever. When man sinned, the spirit of man died but the soul and the flesh lived on, so when we got born again, it was our spirit man that was made alive. So we got born again of the spirit and of water as in John 3:5.

So because you and I have been born again by God, who are we? We are children of God, so we are god. Let us look it clearly what Jesus said in John 10:34 “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’? This was clarity, it was in scriptures but they didn’t know just as now, many believers don’t know. Who are you?
