A Second Chance

Topic: A Second Chance.

Memory Verse:  “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance". 2 Peter 3:9

God is not only the God of a second chance, but He is the God of another chance. I believe that we all have messed up more than one time, many over and over again before they got settled,  it is good news because most of us messed up the second chance fairly quickly. One of the most amazing  of God's character is His incredible patience with us. Psalm 86:15 says it well: "But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Many cannot count many times we have to go to Him for His mercy, many times. The prodigal son asked of his inheritance. It is good to ask since God said we should, but what we do with our inheritance matters. Some of us are messing up with their inheritance. We have inherited power, fame, positions, anointing and people regard us such and because of that we are abusing it. Messing up with women and the low key in the society, this is a sin. You need to go back to your father, for He is a God of another chance, hunger, pride of this life may kill you before your time.

The same way God is ever ready to forgive us, we must also forgive others. Forgiveness, is the nature of God, as God has forgiven us, we must also do the same to others. We should forgive everyone who wrongs us, just as Jesus forgives us. Forgiveness is between our heart and God's, removing any barriers that unforgiveness brings. God is a God of a second chance, we must be like our father, we must give people the second chance. God bless you.

Note this: 

God loves you and wants to give you a second chance. Jesus died for you and salvation is the gateway for divine blessings and abundance. If you are not born again, you are not free. If you want to be born again today by giving your life to Christ, or you want to renew your faith,  please pray this prayer 

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”'

1. Father, I praise and worship you, you gave me a second chance.
2. Father, I repent of my unforgiveness towards others, please forgive me.
3. Father, I pray, let the nature of Jesus be seen in me in Jesus name.
4. Father, I pray, grant me the grace to give others the second chance in Jesus name.
5. Father, I pray, cast away the unforgiving spirits in the Church in Jesus name.
